Basaveshwara Engineering College(AUTONOMOUS) was started in 1963 at Bagalkot in Karnataka, India. The college is affiliated with VTU.
The college offers bachelor degrees in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering affiliated to Karnataka University, Dharwad. It offers the degree programs in ten disciplines and five post graduate programs. The college is a Government aided institution affiliated to Visveswaraiah Technological University, Belgaum in Karnataka and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.
The campus is on an elevated stretch of land of over 100 hectares on the outskirts of the city, adjoining New Bagalkot town. The college has an administrative block, lecture hall complex, departmental buildings, library, hostels, staff quarters, and cafeteria. An auditorium and a conference hall with seating capacities of 350 and 100 respectively are on the campus.
